Merger: Smith Flow Control & Netherlocks

Smith Flow Control and Netherlocks Safety Systems have announced a merging of their two business, effective 4th April 2016. This is to create a global presence in process valve safety and operations, with the new business operating under a single board of directors.

valve safety and operationsBoth the interlock brands (Smith Flow Control and Netherlocks) will continue to be used in the marketplace, supported from their current operational headquarters in the UK and the Netherlands. A new name for the combined business will be determined in the coming months.

The new combined business will operate from 10 offices in eight countries to ensure: a clearer and coordinated representation of SFC and NL products in all markets; improved local sales, engineering and servicing support in
all regions; accelerated new product development and
diversification and a larger as well as complimentary product portfolio in three distinct product groups (process safety, drive systems, valve monitoring) will be available through more specialist channels.
