The VATAC-500X Pressure Relief or Sustaining Valve is a valve to control the inlet (upstream) pressure. The 500X valves can be used for a pressure relief or pressure sustenance.
As a Pressure Relief Valve, the valve will be installed on the bypass pipe of the main pipe. A user only needs to adjust the pilot valve (at the top of the valve) and check the pressure gauge, set the inlet (upstream) pressure at a target value, when the inlet (upstream) pressure is higher than the set pressure, the valve will open quickly and relieve the pressure till the pressure falls below the set pressure.
As a Pressure Sustaining Valve, the valve will be installed on the main pipe, means in series with the main pipe. A user only needs to adjust the pilot valve (at the top of the valve) and check the pressure gauge, set the inlet (upstream) pressure at a target value, when the inlet pressure is lower than the set pressure, the valve will remain closed. When the inlet (upstream) pressure rises higher than the set pressure, the valve will open and supply water to downstream.
