Urea service PARCOL valves get ABSA approval

Parcol’s complete range of specialty control valves series 1-4800, used for high pressure urea service, has now been approved by ABSA. Parcol is an Italian manufacturer of control valves, steam desuperheating systems, and safety valves.

ABSA is a  pressure equipment safety authority authorized by the Alberta Government for the administration and delivery of safety programs related to pressure equipment piping systems in Alberta (Canada).

Parcol’s presence in urea plants dates back to the early ‘70s. Nowadays, hundreds of control valves are used all over the world in plants having both ammonia and carbon dioxide stripping urea technology. These valves are used for liquid and gaseous carbamate, liquid ammonia, carbon dioxide, urea solution and melt urea.
