HermetiX fire safe stem seal is API 641 certified

Habonim’s HermetiX™ fire safe stem seal has passed the API 641 type test protocol, and it is now certified to the API 641 “type testing of quarter-turn valves for fugitive emissions” standard.

The valves were tested under TUV supervision by an independent third party. The valves were subjected to 600 psi (41.4 bar g) Methane gas pressure, 610 mechanical cycles, and three thermal cycles (ambient to 5000F / 2600C), as per “Group A” of the API 641 standard. All valves passed the stringent API 641 test protocol successfully, with a measured leak rate of less than 100 ppmv.

HermetiX™ stem seal is certified to the well-known ISO 15848-1 standard for fugitive emission as well as to the API 607 and ISO 10497 for fire type test of quarter turn valves. Having the HermetiX™ fire safe stem seal design certified to the newly introduced API 641 is yet another strategic investment by Habonim in its mission to stay at the forefront of quarter-turn valve technology.

HermetiX™ fire safe stem seal offers leak-free guarantee on the stem seal for up to 500K cycles, requires no maintenance, reduces emissions, and increases site safety.
