Orbinox PNEUTON™ engineering team has completed the 3D models for ORBINOX ‘VG’ series bi-directional slurry handling knife gate valve. The valve is destined for use on an iron ore tailings application. The specification demanded a ductile iron body, AISI 2205 DUPLEX gate, and natural rubber sleeves. The stem is fitted with a protective bellows as standard. The splash guard assembly on the bottom of the valve ensures any process discharge can be periodically flushed, as best practice. The valve is automated by an AUMA multi-turn electric actuator.
