On 16th December, 2017, along with the completion of the last anti-interference testing, ±800kV converter valves in Yinan converter station, Shanghaimiao – Shandong UHVDC transmission project in China was energized.
The ±800kV Shanghaimiao – Shandong UHVDC transmission project is a maximum capacity project, which delivers power up to 10,000MW, the rated DC voltage is ±800kV and rated DC current is 6250A.
NR supplies its equipment to the Shanghaimiao – Shandong project, including converter valves, control and protection system and DC measurement devices. NR dispatched its engineering team for installation supervision, and equipment commissioning. After working for more than a year, the converter valves achieved one-time energization.
