Dense phase pneumatic conveying is the ideal method of transferring abrasive, friable, or mixed-batch materials. The valve design transports the material along a pipe in a plug form at relatively low velocities, which means less wear and tear on both the system and the materials being conveyed. ORBINOX ‘CW’ series high integrity knife gate valve technology is designed for use on a demanding process application. The valves are automated with double acting pneumatic actuators, and fitted with its proprietary PneuLINK™ linear-to-rotary integrated control platform. The local control panel includes ORBINOX customised logic for FAIL SAFE closed function, which is activated in the event of catastrophic air failure on site.
