Underground ball valves installed in Russian gas field

ARMATURY Group delivered 53 ball valves to Russia. One of the most important companies in Russia chose in the tender for the construction of condensate pipelines the Czech ball valves of the brand AG in the sizes DN 50 to DN 700. These 53 ball valves type K92, are mostly fully welded in underground design with stem extensions almost 6 meters long.

“Production of the underground ball valves with such non-standard stem extension of 5, 9 meters was difficult. Especially testing, assembly, and dispatch of more than 6 m height unit required great effort. The necessity by the underground design of the ball valves is proper special polyurethane insulating coating Protegol,” Zbyněk Patschka, Exports Sales manager for the Eastern market, describes this interesting order and continues. “Delivery of this order was divided into several parts, and the last ball valves left the ARMATURY Group gate and headed to Russia in last week of March this year. Our products are already built into the pipeline and waiting for commissioning.”

ARMATURY Group has been operating on the Russian market by opening its office in Moscow since 2004 and has long been cooperating in the supply of valves for gas and oil extraction and processing with major oil and gas companies in Russia.
