AMPO supplies highly engineered ball valves for SSTPC

AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied diverse highly engineered ball valves for a polycarbonate plant in Tianjin Province, China. The 50-50 joint venture Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical Co. Ltd (SSTPC) has trusted in the European company for the design and manufacture of several ball valves, which some of them have been delivered with the innovative and patented AMPO RCM valve condition monitoring system.
This AMPO RCM (Remote Condition Monitoring) system developed by AMPO POYAM VALVES monitors valves’ torque/position and detects possible future errors that may occur in the valves installed at the plant so that they can prevent unexpected plant shutdowns. Moreover, the system ensures that the valves are continuously connected so that AMPO supplies monitoring and analysis of the situation of the valves.
Tianjin polycarbonate plant has been developed by SABIC’s world-class advanced polycarbonate license, which was previously and successfully implemented on the Sabic Cartagena plant in Spain. This new complex will have a production capacity of 260,000 polycarbonate tonnes per year.
The AMPO POYAM isolation ball valves will be installed on the most critical production lines of the plant and will be actuated by Double acting actuators.
