Flomatic announce NSF/ANSI certifications on VFD models

Flomatic® is proud to announce that all of its VFD Series Check Valves are NSF/ANSI 61 certified for drinking water systems. In addition to NSF/ANSI 372, the low-lead standard has a weighted average of 0.25% lead content by dry weight.

NSF/ANSI 61 – Drinking Water Standards – Are a set of national standards that establish stringent requirements for equipment that comes in contact with potable water. The test uses different water pH levels to a more challenging chemical certification.

Flomatic® has a wide range of patented VFD check valves configurations in Unleaded Bronze, Stainless Steel, and Ductile Iron, specially designed for use with a variable-frequency drive (VFD) controlled submersible pumps. A standard check valve will “chatter” and be noisy when a VFD goes to low flow conditions, causing noise, premature wear, and eventual failure. Flomatic’s unique VFD valves are designed to minimize flow losses and hydraulic shocks in the pumping system.
