Mondeo’s Floy check valve and Linia 2.0 filter

Studying shapes for innovation: this is the main inspiration behind the new Floy check valves and the new Linia filters. Mondeo has added 2.0 to their names because they represent the second generation of products that now have something extra even though already very high performing in terms of hydraulic efficiency.
So, what additional advantage do these 2.0 valves and filters have?
Linia 2.0 filter and Floy 2.0 swing check valves: the same shape but two different functions. These second-generation swing check valves and hydraulic filters are characterised by a completely new design. The research and development team wanted to create something that was not only very different from the other Mondeo articles but also unique, distinct from all the other products of the same type on the market.
Also, the team wanted to ensure that both the check valve and the filter had the same new shape: two products that looked identical but each with their specific function. Check valves, also called non-return valves, make fluid flow in one direction only, while filters eliminate the impurities that circulate in a system. It was therefore a question of integrating what they did (different because one is a valve and the other is a filter) with their appearance (practically the same).
The new design aimed to make product cleaning and maintenance easier, guaranteeing perfect inspectability. This is a very important characteristic in particular for check valves and is required by law for some applications, for example, firefighting.
