Fluor Corporation announced that Peter J. Fluor, great-grandson of company founder John Simon Fluor, is retiring from the Fluor Corporation Board of Directors. He is the last in a long line of Fluor family members to serve as leaders within the company since its founding in 1912.
Peter Fluor served on the company’s board of directors since 1984 in a variety of roles including as lead independent director from 2003 to 2020.
“Peter has continued the Fluor legacy: a commitment to excellence, integrity, and ethics, always putting the safety and wellbeing of employees first and recognizing that teamwork is a key component of our success,” said David Constable, chief executive officer of Fluor. “We will continue this legacy by applying these same values to the work we do every day at Fluor. On behalf of the company, I would like to wish Peter and his entire family much health and happiness.”
Peter Fluor serves as the chairman and chief executive officer of Texas Crude Energy, LLC, an international oil and gas exploration and production company, since 2001, and was president and chief executive officer of Texas Crude Energy from 1980 to 2001.
