Ampo supplying more than 20000 valves for Arctic LNG 2

Currently, thousands and thousands of AMPO POYAM valves are installed in worldwide liquefaction terminals, and the ARCTIC LNG 2 project will not be an exception. AMPO POYAM VALVES has completed the design and is in the progress of manufacturing more than 20,000 highly engineered manual and actuated ball, gate, globe, swing check, and critical non-slam axial check valves for the ARCTIC LNG 2 project, an onshore LNG liquefaction plant located in the Gydan Peninsula, West Siberia, approximately 70 km across the Ob Bay from Yamal LNG. The valves’ sizes will range from 2” to 48” and the pressure range will vary from 150 lbs to 2500 lbs.
GYGAZ SNC, a joint venture formed by Technip and Saipem, was awarded the EPC contract for the development of this liquefaction terminal in Russia. This EPC project comprises the detailed design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and start-up of three LNG trains, each with a capacity of approximately 6.6 million tons per year (mtpa), which will be placed on three gravity-based structures (GBS).
SAREN, the company established jointly by RHI and Saipem with a 50%-50% partnership, was selected to carry out the manufacturing, transport, and assembly works for the three components of the Gravity Base Structure (GBS) of the Arctic LNG 2 Terminal Project.
Both EPC contractors, GYGAZ SNC and SAREN, as well as the before mentioned operators, have trusted on AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of more than 20,000 manual and actuated ball, gate, globe, and check valves in both cryogenic and non-cryogenic services for this innovative project in Russia. Special mention must be made of the highly engineered non-slam critical check valves, requiring a very precise performance in huge valves up to 48” in size and 900# pressure class.
