ABB products debut at IWEX

ABB will debut its latest instrumentation equipment and systems at IWEX 2008 (20-22 May 2008, Birmingham, UK). The event will provide a platform for ABB to introduce its FlowMaster range of flowmeters, featuring an unequalled range of sensing technologies; and the new Aztec range of analysers designed specifically for the challenges of the water treatment market. Visitors to the stand will see a comprehensive selection of ABB instrumentation products, including examples of some of its “world-first” products. One such product is the CalMaster2, the first in-situ verification system for battery and mains-powered electromagnetic flowmeters. The CalMaster2 suite is comprised of two elements. The CalMaster IRIS (Intelligent Recognition Information System) is a standalone battery-powered test device that verifies an in-situ flowmeter system. It allows the user to perform in-situ verification of both the ABB mains and battery-powered flowmeter systems. CheckMaster is a field validation device that checks whether a MagMaster or AquaMaster metering system has been installed properly and is functioning correctly. Alongside the CalMaster will be the recently launched AquaMaster GSM-SMS electromagnetic flowmeter. Based on the same technology as a mobile phone, the AquaMaster can now be contacted using a PC or laptop, or through a mobile phone via SMS messaging. IWEX will also see the first public appearance of the ABB Aztec range of water analysers, including a pre-launch preview of the AW600 colour analyser and the AC2000 coagulation analyser.
