ABO valve, the Czech-Republic-based valve manufacturer who is among the largest producers of butterfly and check valves for industrial applications in Central and Eastern Europe, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Since its establishment in October 1993 as Armatury Buracco Olomouc (ABO), ABO transformed itself from a small valve trading company in the early 1990’s to a mid-size manufacturing entity with focus on special valve executions and high-performance valves. ABO controls approximately 40% of the Czech domestic market with butterfly valves. ABO exports over 70% of its production to more than 50 countries all over the world through a network of branches and partners.
Over the years, ABO has built its innovation centre (R&D centre), expanded its manufacturing facilities (approx. by 2 500 m2), and opened a new logistics centre (approx. 2000 m2) which improved customer service via JIT deliveries. ABO foreign subsidiaries include branches in in Slovakia, Russia, Brazil, Singapore and China. The construction of a second production facility fin Olomouc is underway with projected completion during second half of 2014. This additional production facility will enable ABO to increase production output by 30% and widen the portfolio of products manufactured by ABO.
