CRANE Flow Solutions’ Krombach® double eccentric butterfly valve was nominated for the Best Innovation or Technology Award at the ADIPEC 2010 Excellence in Energy Awards. With a diameter of 50 to 900mm, Nitrile seats and a hard rubber-lined cast body that prevents corrosion from salt water, the Crane valve was commissioned for use in a high profile, crude-oil pipeline project in Abu Dhabi where a fire-extinguishing system using seawater was imperative to the completion and success of the project. The product features the ability to maintain the necessary water pressure over long distances in the event that a fire breaks out.
