Alfa Laval wins petrochem order in South Korea

Alfa Laval Group – the heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling specialist –won an order to supply compact heat exchangers to one of the biggest phosphoric acid plants in the world to be built in the Middle East. The order, booked in the Energy & Process segment, has a value of approximately EUR 6M and deliveries are scheduled for 2015.

The compact heat exchangers will be used in the production of phosphoric acid, an important ingredient in phosphate fertilizers. “The petrochemical sector in the Middle East has grown significantly over the past ten years, and this order confirms our position as a trustworthy supplier of equipment to an industry with very high demands”, says Lars Renström, president and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
