AMPO POYAM VALVES has successfully executed the design, production, and delivery of over 80 meticulously engineered metal seated ball valves for the La Calera project in Argentina. This endeavor encompasses the establishment of Central Processing Facilities (CPF) within the Pluspetrol field situated in Vaca Muerta, Neuquén province, Argentina.
The development of this new facility marks a significant milestone for Pluspetrol, a key player in high-pressure gas field operations and mature field oil extraction. With the capacity to double gas production from approximately 5 MMm3/d to 10 MMm3/d and quadruple liquid production from 1,000 m3/d to 4,800 m3, the project signifies a substantial advancement for the company. As the new processing plant enters its final phase, the contribution of AMPO POYAM VALVES stands as a critical component of its success.
Techint, the recipient of the EPC contract for the Central Processing Facilities, entrusted AMPO POYAM VALVES with the design and manufacturing of several forged metal seated ball valves, ranging up to 24″ and 600 lbs. Employing advanced technologies, trim components for this project underwent hard-facing with tungsten carbide, while valve bodies received Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP) coatings to fortify against wear and corrosion.
The collaboration with Techint on this pivotal project not only reinforces AMPO POYAM VALVES’ commitment to delivering specialized valve solutions but also signifies an expansion of its presence in Argentina. By providing tailored solutions for severe service applications, AMPO POYAM VALVES solidifies its position as a leader in the valve industry, poised to meet the evolving needs of critical infrastructure projects worldwide.
