Cheniere and Bechtel have trusted again in AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design and manufacture of several cryogenic valves up to 36” and 800 lbs for the third marine berth of Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana, USA. The project should allow the Houston-based LNG exporter to add 180 LNG cargoes annually, increasing the total to 580 LNG cargoes per year. With this new order, more than 20,000 valves designed and manufactured by the Spanish company will be installed in the diverse facilities of Cheniere in the USA.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has supplied since 2012 thousand and thousands of highly engineered valves for trains 1 to 6 of Sabine Pass LNG liquefaction project, and a series of valves for the first three trains of Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG project. Some of them, up to 54” cryogenic ball valves, non-cryogenic valves and metal seated ball valves. Moreover, it also supplied 36” and 42” HIPPS valves, which achieved perfect isolation in less than 2 seconds. So consequently, more than 20,000 AMPO POYAM valves will be installed in total at the nine trains owned by Cheniere in the USA.
