The new DELTA AP1 aseptic valve, from APV, features a flat PTFE diaphragm, 3A and EHEDG certification. The DELTA AP1 valve body and actuator material is in stainless steel 1.4404 with a surface roughness of Ra <0.8 micron. A high-end version is available for tough environments featuring a surface roughness of Ra <0.5 micron, a stainless steel actuator and 3.1 certification. This valve employs a fan support system ensuring an enhanced diaphragm lifetime and reduced spare parts costs. In addition, the support system enables production pressures up to 10bar through mechanical support of the diaphragm in all positions from completely open to completely closed. This also means that the diaphragm is less sensitive to pressure shocks. The flat diaphragm is built for reliability, minimises product-wetted surface, and reduces cleaning time. There is also a clamp housing closure which enables quick and easy service. The flexibility of the design means that it can be used for high-fibre products.
