Arca has developed two new pneumatically activated actuators – the smallest actuator „PP-1.3“ with a diaphragm surface of only 8,68 sq in and the biggest actuator „PP-130“ with 434 sq in diaphragm surface.
The actuator PP-1.3 is fully welded, made from stainless steel, and especially designed for smaller nominal widths DN25-50 with a valve stroke of 16-20 mm. Despite its small actuator surface the PP-1.3 is a power pack and reaches a control force of 1,3 kN. In the actuator yoke the well-known Arca interface for direct mounting of Arca positioners is integrated. It also conforms to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EG. The PP-1.3 is designed for the use in the beverage and food as well as in the chemical industry.
PP-130 is a piston actuator that can be used as single-acting with spring return or double-acting with and without spring return. Thereby, controlling forces up to 129 kN are reached. The stroke range is between 180 and 250 mm. This makes this actuator adequate for control valves DN500-700. Such valves are used for example in the bypass range of huge compressors protecting the gas turbine.
