ARCA supplies Dutch syngas plant

The ARCA-Regler GmbH, Tönisvorst. Germany, has delivered about one hundred valves via its subsidiary von Rohr ARCA BV, Eerbeek, to the Netherlands. The valves, ECOTROL valves with ARCAPRO positioners, will be used in a Syngas plant. A special feature of the delivered valves is the material used. Because of the demanded pressures of ANSI 600 to 1500 with media like process and sour gas and oxygen, Hastelloy and Monel were among the materials used in the valves. Depending on the use special standards as oxygen quality, NACE and fire-safe criteria had to be fulfilled. In addition energy valves for steam and condensate were applied in the plant.
The plant will be built in the harbour basin in Rozenburg in the middle of the Dutch (petro)chemical area of Botlek near Rotterdam.
