ARCA has supplied more than 120 control valves for use in Freiberg, Germany’s first commercial plant for producing synthetic bio fuel from biomass. The patented Carbo-V-process used at the plant allows the production of bio coke from biological waste, sewage sludge or rotten wood, that is gasified and converted into pure Sun-Fuel. In the years 1998 to 2001 ARCA supplied the valves for a pilot plant. Because the ARCA valves proved their suitability and had compact construction, the new plant is also using ARCA control valves. The plant is expected to deliver 18 mio. litre BTL every year. BTL, in contrary to fossil Diesel, causes 90% less CO2 output and can be used in vehicles without adjustment measures.
