AS-Schneider has expanded its product portfolio by introducing a high-pressure series which is applicable for use under pressures up to 15,000 psi (1,034 bar). Plant operators benefit from a safe, reliable and leak-free shut-off even under extreme conditions.
The stem seal (packing) consists of the versatile plastic PTFE. In addition, the high pressure valves have a metallic back seat, which represents an additional seal to the outside relieving the packing. This result not only less wear and tear, but also an increase in reliability. AS-Schneider supplies the valves in stainless steel 316 in its standard model. They are thus also suitable for use with sour gas according to NACE MR0175/MR0103 and ISO 15156.
A high-strength stem thread with hard coating ensures safe and wear-free operation. The ergonomically designed T-handle is positively locked to the stem by a square and positioned by a set screw. The non-rotating tip allows smooth operation and minimum wear of sealing elements. A special thrust bearing at the connection between the stem and tip absorbs highest stem forces. The valve head unit (bonnet) is additionally equipped with a locking plate.
