Auma actuators for Egyptian water project

The public works authority of Cairo City has exclusively selected Auma actuators for the New Cairo City Project in Obour. Currently the largest potable water pipeline in Egypt, the project has required 564 Auma electric valve actuators installed on the ring pipeline with Auma gear operators for manual and motor functions. Confirming Cairo City’s preference for Auma’s modular design-build actuators, Managing Director of ATEC, Mr. Yasser Abu Bakr said: “An important part of this project is the motorization and automation of butterfly valves installed in the pipeline and booster stations. Selection of the actuator supplier was, therefore, a significant part of the overall project plan. “User friendliness, along with robust and compact design, were key reasons for selecting Auma for this major contract. In addition, strong technical support in Egypt was also a crucial deciding factor in the selection of Auma actuators.”
