Auma actuators present power portfolio at Power-Ge

As AUMA prepares for its 50th year celebrations in 2014, their expertise developed over the last five decades supplying electric actuators to the power industry is set to be confirmed at Power-Gen Europe. Products displayed will include part and multi-turn actuators, gearboxes and controls.

A key exhibit will be Auma’s new SQ .2 part-turn actuator – designed for butterfly and ball valve automation, the product replaces the company’s established SG .1 range: enhancements include a significantly increased torque range, sophisticated diagnostics and asset management functionality. Modular actuation design which provides adaptable automation is what they say sets the company apart.

Auma also specialises in product configurations which meet individual plant requirements. The combination of flexible valve control solutions, tailored technology and comprehensive support has secured a global installation base in power plant applications including Mochovce NPP in Slovakia where 1,900 Auma actuators have been commissioned as part of reconstruction of the plant’s third and fourth units.

With established manufacturing in Germany and an extensive network of representatives, Auma’s European subsidiaries include facilities in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
