Auma hosts training programme

Auma actuators has hosted and developed a pioneering training programme which has benefited over 100 engineers at Anglian Water in the UK. The courses are understood to be the first UK programme to coach end-user operators in basic valve and actuator maintenance. Designed to reduce down-time and improve efficiency, the courses give engineers the confidence, knowledge and practical skills to assess on-site maintenance requirements. As a result, the utility’s staff are equipped with the necessary skills to address and action, as appropriate, situations including the re-setting, repairing and commissioning of valves and actuators. Auma emphasises that the training is designed to provide front-line education, however, its field engineers are on hand to provide a highly responsive service if required. From a maximum score of six, Auma has received average figures from Anglian Water of 5.6 for presentation, 5.7 for instructor qualities and 5.7 for presentation materials.
