Currently, AUMA India is supplying nearly 2,300 actuators for six large coal-fired power plant projects being built by NTPC Limited, India’s largest power utility.
500 actuators are destined for each of three power plants at Lara (Raigarh, Chhattisgarh); Barh (Patna, Bihar); and Gadarwara (Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh). 484 actuators are going to Malwa (Purni, Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh); and 306 actuators to two smaller projects at Meja (Uttar Pradesh) and Solapur (Maharashtra). The six projects range in size from 2 x 660 MW to 5 x 800 MW. All except the Lara plant are supercritical. The AUMA actuators are deployed for intelligent valve control across all processes within the plants, including feedwater treatment, steam generation, combustion air control, turbine control, flue gas management, and cooling water supply. AUMA staff ensures timely and smooth installation and commissioning on-site within predefined timeframes.
AUMA India has also carried out various successful modernization and retrofit projects recently. These include Kaiga nuclear power plant and TCP Chennai power plant.
AUMA electric actuators are available for quarter-turn, multi-turn and linear applications for on-off valves, control valves, dampers, and sluice gates.
