AUMA’s solution approach secures supercritical pow

AUMA’s Solution approach to actuation helped secure an order for over 500 electric actuators at the Ledvice coal-fired power plant in the Czech Republic.
The company’s actuators, controls and gearboxes have been delivered to a new state-of-the-art 660MW block that is expected to commence operations in 2016. Located within the existing Ledvice power plant, the new solid-fuel unit has a compact design with one boiler that features supercritical direct steam parameters and a four-stage steam condensation turbine. Key reasons for selection of AUMA and its actuation technology were the company’s ability to provide comprehensive actuation technology and DCS support.

Additionally, AUMA demonstrated close co-operation with the contractor ŠKODA PRAHA Invest and a strong track record supplying the power industry over the past five decades. AUMA has supplied 510 actuators from its non-intrusive range with control units and standard gearboxes. All DCS requirements were met via AUMA’s AM integral controls.
