AVT chosen for sand removal package

AVT full port ball valves in 3 inch and 6 inch sizes have been selected by Statoil for use in a sand removal package. The piping and hydro cyclone in this unit were 100% titanium. The valves selected were AVT’s advanced reinforced composite valves fitted with pneumatic actuation. AVT says its valves are typically 50% lighter than steel valves, available in 6 week manufacturing lead-times, and with 50%–80% cost savings.
