Awilco LNG takes ‘WilForce’ delivery

Awilco LNG has taken delivery of its first 156,000 cbm newbuilding, ‘WilForce’, from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) of South Korea. The vessel was delivered on budget approximately 16 days delayed compared to original contract.

 
The vessel was subsequently sold to Teekay LNG Partners and the bareboat was chartered back by Awilco LNG for a period of five years with a one-year extension option.
 
CEO of Awilco LNG, Jon Skule Storheill, said, “We are very pleased to take delivery of the vessel, which is built to the highest standard and latest eco-friendly technology that we are looking forward to present to the market”.
