B.F.E achieves nuclear accreditation

The survey for nuclear operations have been successfully completed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the B.F.E staff at the company’s locations in Albano S. Alessandro (Bergamo) Italy and Bosisio Parini (Lecco) Italy, completed the audit necessary to earn the certifications from ASME according to Section III, Division 1, of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code in May 2010. The certifications are considered the industry standard for quality assurance of materials, design, construction, operation, inspection and continuing maintenance of nuclear facilities. The certificates are for N Construction of Class 1, 2 & 3 valves, Class 1,2 & 3 vessels and Class 1,2 & 3 shop assembly at Bergamo with additional quality assurance & forging activities at Lecco, Italy and for NPT Class 1, 2 & 3 fabrication without design responsibility and with design responsibility for appurtenances and as a material organization manufacturing and supplying ferrous and nonferrous material at Bergamo, including qualification of nonaccredited material organizations, utilization of unqualified source material, approval & control of suppliers and shipment of material from qualified material organizations to other parties, again with additional quality assurance and forging activities at Lecco.
