Baker Hughes secures contract from Petrobras

Baker Hughes, a leading provider of energy technology solutions, has secured a significant contract from Petrobras for comprehensive well construction services in the Buzios field, situated offshore Brazil.

Scheduled to commence in the first half of 2025, the integrated services project encompasses a wide array of essential tasks, including drilling, wireline operations, cementing, wellbore clean-up, and more. Baker Hughes is poised to deliver these services across three rigs throughout the duration of the multi-year contract.

During the initial phase of field development, Baker Hughes played a pivotal role in the Buzios field, contributing advanced technology and equipment. In addition to offering drilling, completions, and wireline services, the company supplied various components such as WAG manifolds and over 240 kilometers of flexible pipes, tailored for use in depths of up to 2,000 meters. Furthermore, Baker Hughes provided turbomachinery for the majority of the FPSOs, ensuring operational reliability with advanced monitoring and fault protection systems.

This contract underscores Baker Hughes’ expertise and commitment to delivering top-tier solutions in demanding offshore environments like the Buzios field, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner in the energy sector.
