Ball valves K92 and Gate valves S43 ARMATURY Group has successfully passed through challenging testing according to standard ISO EN 15 848-1, which tests tightness of the valve.
Testing, which was realized at TIV VALVES´s laboratory in Legnan, Italy, in the presence of a TŰV inspector, is performed so that the valve is pressurised with helium to the maximum working pressure as per the recommended PN and heated to the maximum internal temperature +40 °C. All the joints on the valve are scanned by a special detector, which detects an amount of escaped molecules of helium. The test is repeated with a minimum internal ambient temperature, i.e. -29 ° C. 200 open-close cycles is performed on the valve and then again the valve is tested for leakage of helium molecules at pressure = PN, at temperature -29 °C ,and 40 °C.
In the past, the emission-free valves were declared by different national regulations as for example TA-LUFT. Nowadays it is increasingly required to make emission-free valves in accordance with the mentioned global standard ISO EN 15 848-1.
