BASF showcases new chemical solutions

BASF Global Oilfield Solutions exhibits its range of new, innovative chemical solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry market at the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. This year BASF takes the opportunity to present and demonstrate innovations for upstream applications segments including, Pyrolase Cellulase, Pyrolase HT Cellulase and Eradicate, which are high temperature performance enzymes and are environmental friendly solutions for stimulation and drilling. The highlights of the presentation includes benefits of additives for drilling, cementing, stimulation, production and enhanced oil recovery.

With the acquisition of Verenium in 2013, BASF has reinforced its enzyme expertise in the oilfield market and also provides solutions for enhanced oil recovery. BasoMSA, is yet another of its applications, which is a stable acid with superior performance at high temperatures that exhibits outstanding corrosion behavior on high alloy steels and has an excellent environmental and safety profile. Basolon IN 40 is a non-scaling and non-amine based alternative for H2S scavenging. Aspiro unites strong expertise in polymers and surfactants under one brand, to improve cost efficiency of enhanced oil recovery operations.
