Did you know that Sempell AG recently won the Top Supplier Award from AREVA? Well, neither did I until my colleague Mrs Joanne McIntyre returned from a visit to Sempell a few weeks ago.
And she had a trick question: did I know who had won the AREVA award last year?
Sadly, again all I could do was confess ignorance. But the answer was, with hindsight, obvious.
That’s right. It was Sempell again.
Power Initiatives
Without doubt, Sempell – part of Tyco Flow Control – really does know a thing or two about the power business.
Realising this, Joanne used her visit to further quiz some of Tyco’s top managers about the needs of this all-important sector.
Tyco’s range of activities in power includes nuclear units, gas-fired generators, ultra-supercritical coal plants and even thermal solar power systems.
Importantly, Tyco continues to invest in manufacturing and service locations to further enhance its global coverage.
Joanne further added that Tyco’s managers are adamant when they say that Tyco is ready to support all power initiatives.
