Bendix names new VP & GM for Valves and Modules

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems appointed John Kemer as vice president and general manager, Valves and Modules. Kemer also becomes the newest member of the Bendix Leadership Committee and joins the two-person Controls Governance Board.

Kemer joined Bendix as a staff engineer in 1996, managing a complex line of pneumatic valves. Since then, he has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with the Valves and Modules business unit, most recently serving as director. In his new role, he assumes executive oversight of the Valves and Modules group, providing strategic and business team leadership. He also joins Claus Beyer, vice president and GM, Brake Controls and Electronics Technology, on Bendix’s Controls Governance Board.

In an associated move, nine-year Bendix veteran Scott Burkhart has assumed the new role of vice president, Sales, Marketing and Business Development. A seasoned executive with three decades of experience in the trucking and automotive industries, Burkhart previously served Bendix as vice president and general manager, Controls and Modules. In his new role, Burkhart will provide senior executive leadership of Bendix’s product marketing, customer strategy and business development initiatives. He will also continue serving on the Bendix Leadership Committee.
