Biomass power plant in Uganda

Taylor Biomass Energy Uganda (TBEU) is investing USD160million to build a biomass power plant in Uganda. The 40MW plant will be the first major renewable energy project in Uganda and will use about 1030 tons of municipal solid waste daily from Kampala and the Wakiso district to generate energy for over 35,000 homes. US-based Taylor Biomass Energy is partnering with TBEU on the project, which is expected to be completed in two years.
