Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce the awarding of a Type Approval Certificate to Habonim Industrial Valves & Actuators (Habonim) for their innovative H29 Ultra-High-Pressure Hydrogen Ball Valve, representing a significant advancement in hydrogen valve technology tailored for marine applications.
Being the inaugural recipient of certification for an Ultra-High-Pressure Hydrogen valve intended for marine use positions Habonim at the forefront of driving technology forward to enhance the safety and efficacy of hydrogen-powered vessels.
The H29 valves have been specifically engineered for optimal performance within H2 containers (MEGC), crucial components of fuel tanks in electric-propelled ships and other vessels powered by hydrogen. This certification, issued in compliance with Bureau Veritas NR 678 standards, serves as a validation of the H29 valve’s reliability and safety, particularly under pressures of up to 700 bar.
