Burkert establishes a new facility in Pune

Burkert Fluid Control Systems India Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Germany-based Bürkert Group, has established a new manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra in response to increasing demand in the area. The company is a manufacturer of measurement and control systems for liquids and gases.

Located in Talegaon MIDC Phase 2, the state-of-the-art facility occupies 4645.15 sqm and has testing, assembly, and machining centres.

The facility will initially focus on manufacturing mass flow controllers, angle seat valves, diaphragm valves, and system solutions. It can produce 30,000 pieces of valves and 500 sets of systems annually. The new facility will bring production closer to Burkert’s customers, contributing to local employment and improving service.

It is anticipated to employ up to 32 people by the end of this year, with the possibility of expanding to 100 next year. Burkert has already finished transferring its technology to India for several systems, including panels used in Zone 1 ATEX classification. Burkert expects the facility to be profitable by 2028, and this local production will be crucial to the company’s long-term profitability goals.
