Castings recruits

Ian Robson has joined Castings Technology International (Cti) in Sheffield as Project Manager. He brings a wide range of experience in the casting, machining and forging of a variety of high performance materials, particularly titanium for the aerospace industry. He will be working to develop the business operations within Cti’s precision casting facility including the titanium vacuum casting and rapid prototyping activities. Prior to joining Cti, Ian was Project Manager for Doncasters plc, manufacturers of highly-engineered components for the industrial gas turbine, automotive turbocharger, aerospace and medical industries. Ian was also involved in strategic work to consider future business in titanium engine casings.
Castings Technology International (Cti) has also recruited two new engineers and an environmental graduate to its Sheffield facility. Richard Gould joined Cti’s titanium and light alloys team in November, offering further design support and skills in 3D CAD Modelling. Before joining Cti Richard worked as a Design Engineer and Project Leader at Bonar Plastics in Sheffield, part of the European rotational moulding group. Letisha Smith has joined Cti’s Environmental Services team to manage a pilot project in the Engineering, Metals, and Manufacturing (EMM) sector in South Yorkshire. Before joining Cti, Letisha worked as Environmental Officer and R&D Co-ordinator at Wombwell Foundry. Gary MacFarlane has joined Cti as an Environmental Consultant, working with the monitoring team on stack emissions, noise and occupational exposure. Before joining Cti, Gary worked in the Environmental Protection Service at Sheffield City Council.
