CPG gets approval for Cameron Access Project

newsitemColumbia Pipeline Group (CPG) and Columbia Pipeline Partners LP has announced that the FERC has approved construction of the Cameron Access Project in Southwest Louisiana by its subsidiary Columbia Gulf Transmission. CPG President Glen Kettering said: “This is an important natural gas infrastructure project that further connects abundant, but constrained, Appalachian supplies to higher value markets.” The Cameron Access Project includes improvements to Columbia Gulf’s existing pipeline system, and ancillary facilities, a new compressor station near Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and the installation of an approximately 26 mile greenfield pipeline lateral in Cameron Parish, providing direct access to the Cameron LNG export facility.

Wärtsilä appoints Jaakko Eskola President and CEO

Wärtsilä’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr Jaakko Eskola as the new President and CEO of Wärtsilä Corporation. He will assume the position on 1 November 2015, succeeding Mr Björn Rosengren, who will become the CEO of Sandvik, a global engineering group based in Sweden.

Technip wins flexible pipe contract

Technip has been awarded an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) for D18 Project.

The project covers the procurement and installation of two 8” water injection flexible pipes totalling 9.

Aleron Subsea acquires ROVQUIP

Aleron Subsea, a specialist ROV refurbishment, upgrade, sales and rental Company has acquired ROVQUIP, an Aberdeenshire based ROV tooling manufacturer.

With the acquisition of ROVQUIP, Aleron Subsea will expand its product and service offerings, adding specialist tooling to its products range which will include ROV skids, BOP shut down systems, cutters, water jetters, IHPU’s and more.

Honeywell to provide control and safety support

newsitemHoneywell Process Solutions has received a new multi-year agreement to deliver comprehensive services and support for Lundin Norway, Norway’s upstream oil and gas company. Honeywell’s new Assurance 360 program will help Lundin achieve continual and optimal performance of its automation system at the Edvard Grieg field in the Utsira High area of the central North Sea. Under the program, HPS will provide all necessary technology, processes and support for the system over the next four years, including hardware refresh, software updates and upgrades, and remote support. Lundin Norway is focussed on oil and gas exploration, development and production in Norway. The Edvard Grieg platform rests on the seabed in the North Sea and has a full process facility.

Wood Group wins major Shell Gabon contract

Wood Group wins a new five year, USD multi-million contract with Shell, to provide services to four onshore oil fields in Gabon.

Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) will deliver integrated engineering, construction, maintenance and industrial services to the Rabi, Gamba, Toucan and Koula assets.

Scomi Energy Services Receives USD 28M Contract

Scomi Energy Services received a USD 28M contract from PTTEP International Limited Myanmar. The 3-year contract is for drilling fluids together with solids control products, equipment and engineering solutions.

Fluor and COOEC Form New Fabrication Joint Venture

Fluor and Offshore Oil Engineering, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation will form a new joint venture, COOEC Fluor Heavy Industries through which the two companies will own, operate and manage the Zhuhai Fabrication Yard in China’s Guangdong province.

Trelleborg and Schoolhill in Shah Deniz Project

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has developed a seal for a ground-breaking valve designed by Schoolhill Hydraulic Engineering for BP’s Shah Deniz field.

The high-flow, high-integrity, safety-critical subsea quick exhaust valve (QEV), believed to be the first of its kind, has been created for a subsea high-integrity pressure protection system (HIPPS) at the South Caspian Sea site.
