KBR has announced its joint venture with JGC Corp. and Chiyoda Corp. The JKC JV partners signed this EPC contract, valued at USD 15 billion, with the Ichthys LNG Project owners, INPEX and Total.
The Ichthys LNG Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX (76%, the Operator) and Total (24%).

Petrochemical plant

Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Qatar Petrochemical Co. (Qapco) have signed a heads of agreement for a 80:20 joint venture, which will produce 1.4 million tonnes per year (t/y) of ethylene, 850,000t/y of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), 760,000t/y of polypropylene, 430,000t/y of linear low-density polyethylene, 125,000t/y of pyrolysis gasoline and 83,000t/y of butadiene.

Wheatstone Project LNG product loading facility

PMC contract

Wärtsilä to supply power and positioning system

Wärtsilä has been contracted to supply the power and positioning system for two new drilling rigs ordered by Songa Offshore AS, the Norwegian arm of the Cyprus-based offshore drilling company.

Doosan secures contract

Doosan Engine has won a record order from the Danish company A.P. Moller Maersk, the world’s largest marine shipper. The W323 billion (approx USD 284.2 million) contract is for the delivery of 120 engines (40 main and 80 auxiliary) to be installed in twenty ultra-large containerships built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

Hyundai Heavy has announced that the Company has won a contract from a major oil company to build gas producing offshore platforms to be deployed in West Africa by the end of 2014. Under the contract, the Company will build two offshore gas platforms; one weighing 11,000tns and producing 120 million cu/ft of gas per day.
