Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. has been selected by Yamal LNG LLC to provide front end engineering & design (FEED) services for the Yamal LNG project. CB&I will work with Chiyoda and Saipem and the Russian Design Institute to address local design and authority approval requirements for the design of the project. The FEED will provide the basis for the detailed engineering, procurement and construction phase, project schedule and cost estimates. Once the FEED is complete, Yamal LNG can secure final funding for what is planned to be a 16.5 million tns/yr LNG liquefaction plant. The FEED is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2012.
