CCI supplies valves for Ecuadorian pipeline

CCI has received a million dollar order from the Techint Argentina Headquarters for the supply of severe service valves to be used at their OCP SA pipeline in Ecuador. The valves range in size from 8–16 in., with design pressures up to 1870 psig, and at temperatures that range up to 200 F. When installed, these valves will be located in the remote inland fields of Lago-Agrio in Ecuador through the Ecuadorian Andes mountains with drop heights of up to 900 feet to the Marine Terminal on the Pacific ocean at Esmeraldas harbour. Severe conditions such as a viscous fluid and an ambient temperature that varies from 32–96.8 F were some of the reasons that CCI’s DRAG® multistage valve technology was chosen.
