Celeros Flow Technology appoints new director

Celeros Flow Technology has appointed David Young to the newly created post of Aftermarket Service Development Director. He’s tasked with extending the global reach of the aftermarket support and further improving the range of lifecycle services the company offers to its valve customers.

Tim Old, VP Aftermarket, explains: “Aftermarket services are becoming increasingly important for our customers as they seek to implement operational efficiencies, reduce environmental emissions, and extend the lifecycle of existing plants. The newly created role illustrates our commitment to being the lifecycle partner of choice for anyone deploying our M&J Valve and Copes-Vulcan OEM branded valves or seeking to improve the performance of third-party equipment.”

David Young brings a wealth of experience to the role. Holding a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, he has more than 30 years of experience in international technical and managerial roles with companies including Petrofac and Severn. His expertise includes the design, manufacture, and overhaul of rotating and static equipment, working in both dynamic service environments and original equipment manufacturing. David is also no stranger to the Celeros FT portfolio. He started his career as an apprentice in Glasgow at the company that is now our ClydeUnion Pumps brand, rising to be Principal Engineer.
