Australian technology company Chief Fluid Systems has signed an agreement with US-based Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) to become the official Australian distributor for its range of Hunt valve and fitting products.
Headquartered in Western Sydney, Chief Fluid Systems is a leading provider of fluid handling valves, fittings, and hoses for industrial and defence applications. The new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks a key milestone, appointing Chief Fluid Systems as FMD’s authorised distributor in Australia, responsible for product distribution, servicing, and support across both surface and sub-surface platforms.
Glen Haddon, Director of Chief Fluid Systems, stated that the agreement ensures Australian operators have reliable access to critical components and technical expertise, supporting operational excellence in the Marine and Naval sectors. By combining FMD’s global expertise with Chief Fluid Systems’ local knowledge and service capabilities, the partnership strengthens sovereign capability and readiness for Australia’s maritime and naval operations.
“Partnering with Fairbanks Morse Defense represents a significant step forward for Chief Fluid Systems and our customers,” Haddon said. “This agreement enables us to provide innovative solutions and trusted technical support, ensuring Australian naval and maritime operators benefit from the highest standards of service and reliability.”
