China’s CNOOC Ltd has announced the construction of a second LNG gas terminal in Fujian province and awarded the supply contract to Indonesia’s Tangguh field. Fujian LNG Terminal will be a joint investment between CNOOC Ltd and Fujian Investment & Development Co. CNOOC will hold a majority 60% stake in the project in the Meizhou Gulf, off China’s SE coast. BP, the developer of the greenfield Tangguh site, has agreed to supply the Fujian terminal under the same terms and conditions as its bid for the Guangdong terminal.
