Chinese fuel conversion supported

The Duolon Coal Development Project located at Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia has been established to meet China’s demand for petrochemicals. Over 200 actuators supplied by AUMA are supporting valve control processes at the chemical plant scheme that is converting fossil fuel coal to oil.

Final customer Datang selected AUMA for an upgrade to convert manually operated valves to electrical technology. Reasons for the selection of the actuator manufacturer included the existence of AUMA China: an established arm of the AUMA Group which ensured proficient local support. Team work between the two organisations was also cited as key to the adoption of AUMA’s actuation technology.

The AUMA devices selected for this application were the SA multi-turn actuator with AM integral controls and GK bevel gearbox: this combination was chosen for its reliability including performance in challenging operating conditions and the ability to adapt to special mounting positions.
