Circor acquires Rockwood Swendeman

Circor International has acquired Rockwood Swendeman of Scarborough, Maine. The Rockwood Swendeman Cryogenic Safety Relief Valves and Cryotree® Sub-assembly will augment the product offerings of CPC-Cryolab Cryogenic Valves and Spence Engineering Company’s Safety Relief Valves. Rockwood Swendeman Safety Relief Valves are well known in the industrial gas market and complement existing Circor Fluid Regulation products. This new partnership provides one of the industries’ strongest valve product line offerings to the industrial gas market. Rockwood Swendeman ASME Certified Cryogenic Safety Relief Valves are available in bronze and stainless steel, factory-sealed with set pressures to 400 psi and temperatures from –423°F to 400°F. They feature a special Modified Teflon® Seat that provides a bubble-tight seal to over 90% of set pressure. Also included are an adjustable blowdown ring and oxygen cleaning at no additional charge. Applications include: stationary cryogenic LIN, LOX, LAR storage tanks; Dual safety relief systems, overpressure relief of tanks, pipelines, vessels and pumps; Air and gas compressors; Corrosive industrial applications.
